Lil Baby and his legal team are speaking out after Atlanta police accused him of sparking a gang-related war that claimed the lives of two teen boys in July 2024.

Lil Baby Responds To Rumors & Claims From ATL Police
As TSR previously reported, Atlanta Police Department called out Lil Baby during a press conference about the multiple homicides on Feb. 26. Major Ralph Woolfolk held the press event to announce the arrests of seven individuals tied to the July 2024 murders of 13-years-old Jakody Davis and Lamon Freeman. Mayor Woolfolk said the gang war that led to the teens’ tragic murders allegedly connects to the triple shooting at Baby’s music video set last May.
Well, Lil Baby isn’t letting the accusations slide. He hopped on his Instagram Story late on Thursday, Feb. 28, to shut down the claims, telling fans he’s good and not to fall for the fake news. “Thanks For All The Concerns, Please Don’t Be Misinformed By Fake News !! I’m Overly Good,” he wrote.
Baby’s Lawyers Weigh In On The Accusations
Lil Baby’s attorneys, Drew Findling and Marrisa Goldberg, didn’t hold back from defending him. They issued statements to TMZ, calling out the Atlanta Police Department for their claims. They also made it clear that the rapper has no connection to the fatal shootings or tragic murders of the two teen boys.
“To say that he couldn’t shoot a music video in his home town, a place that he loves and has continued to uplift, is disgraceful. Even more, the location for a major music video shoot is a decision made by a professional team and is not a decision made by any individual.”
Here’s What Atlanta Police Previously Said About Lil Baby & The 2024 Homicides
XXL reports that a drive-by shooting went down on May 14, 2024, in Northwest Atlanta near the Hidden Village Apartments on Verbena St., right where Lil Baby was filming his music video. The attack took the lives of two teenage boys and left three men in their 20s with minor injuries.
Since then, authorities have arrested seven people on murder charges, with the last two suspects taken into custody on Feb. 25. Atlanta police put Baby in the hot seat, accusing him of sparking the deadly violence by filming in a known rival territory.
“Gang violence that was orchestrated by adults. And the cowardly acts of an Atlanta-based rapper that decided to go into a rival gang stronghold in a place he knew he should not have been.” Woolfolk said during the press conference.
