Former Ipswich Town Midfielder Kundai Benyu Joins CAPS United to Revive His Career
Former Ipswich Town and Celtic midfielder Kundai Benyu has made a bold career move by signing with Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants CAPS United.
Benyu, 27, arrived in Zimbabwe from the United Kingdom on Saturday and was greeted by a delegation from CAPS United. The group included head coach Lloyd Chitembwe and club legend Alois Bunjira.
The UK-born midfielder has inked a two-year deal that will see him donning the Green Machine jersey until December 2026. This marks the first time Benyu will play for a Zimbabwean club, as he looks to reignite his football career after spending last year without a team in the UK.
Benyu began his professional football journey with Ipswich Town in England and later joined Scottish giants Celtic. He also played for several other clubs in Europe before opting for a fresh start with CAPS United.
