Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson explained his silent appearance at WWE Bad Blood on Saturday night in Atlanta, Georgia, on an Instagram Live broadcast after leaving the stage.

“There’s been a lot of bulls–t that’s been going on in the past six months,” The Rock told viewers (transcription h/t Geno Mrosko of Cageside Seats.)

He continued: “There ain’t nothing, and The Rock, The Final Boss, means there ain’t nothing, that will ever compare to The Rock going out there, The Final Boss, and his music hitting and seeing those three in the middle of that ring.

“You had Jimmy, you had Roman, and you had Cody. The Rock doesn’t have to say a thing. Tonight, we’re going to have a good time.”

The Rock said nothing on stage. He lifted his hand, counted up three fingers, and then made a slashing motion across his throat before leaving.

Wrestlemania XL featured a main event during which Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

The Rock’s staredown and signal, and his comments toward Rhodes and Reigns in the Live, could have been referring to a potential triple threat match for the 41st edition of the event.

The Rock didn’t give any specifics away during his narration to his Instagram followers.

“Here’s what the Final Boss is thinking right now,” The Rock said. “Is the Final Boss pissed? Is The Final Boss happy? Is he somewhere down the middle? Well the Final Boss says this. The Rock is feeling a lot of things about what he just witnessed… You want to know how the Final Boss is feeling about all of that? The Final Boss will tell you. But the Final Boss will tell you when the Final Boss is ready for you to know.”

But both he and Rhodes have previously hinted at something big coming in Wrestlemania 41.

Rhodes recently said on The Pat McAfee Show that the main event would be “bigger than anyone anticipated.”

The Rock meanwhile told ESPN’s Mike Coppinger in June that the WWE was “on the 1-yard line to create the biggest WrestleMania of all time and the biggest match of all time at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.”

His Bad Blood appearance is sure to drive further hype for the event, which is set to begin on Saturday, April 19 at Allegiant Stadium.
