Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier will interview presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris on Oct. 16 in the battleground state of Pennsylvania where Harris leads presidential opponent Donald Trump by 4 percentage points. The interview will air during “Special Report with Bret Baier” at 6 p.m. ET, marking Harris’ first formal interview on the network.

Although Harris has the edge in Pennsylvania, recent polls show the race to be dead even heading into the final weeks of the election, making these last few television appearances crucial as ever. Trump also has announced plans to campaign in the Quaker State in the coming weeks, while Harris’s running mate, Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota, will be in Wisconsin.

Outside of her upcoming Fox News interview, Harris has made a point to cover a wide spectrum of outlets when it comes to media appearances. On Oct. 6, Harris appeared on Alex Cooper’s comedy and sexual health podcast “Call Her Daddy,” the most listened-to program on Spotify hosted by a woman.

It was recently announced that Harris will sit down with host of “The Breakfast Club” podcast Charlamagne Tha God Tuesday for a Detriot town hall. Streaming live on the iHeartRadio app Oct. 16, Harris will take listener-submitted questions from Detroit voters as a last-minute push to widen her two point lead over Trump in Michigan.

On Oct. 1, Trump backed out of his interview with “60 Minutes,” which would have been one of his final television appearances before election day. After “60 Minutes” announced on X that both Harris and Trump would appear on the show, Trump’s communication director Steve Cheung wrote on X, “Fake News. 60 Minutes begged for an interview, even after they were caught lying about Hunter Biden’s laptop back in 2020. There were initial discussions, but nothing was ever scheduled or locked in. They also insisted on doing live fact checking, which is unprecedented.”
