Renowned steakhouse concepts celebrated for dedication to wine with Award of Excellence by world’s leading authority on wine.
Both restaurant brands received the The Award of Excellence accolade by Wine Spectator which recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. This year, 2,150 restaurants earned The Award of Excellence for their prestigious wine selection lists. A rare award bestowed upon only the most complete wine lists, it is considered an honor in the wine community to receive recognition from Wine Spectator.
“We are incredibly honored to have Eddie Merlot’s and Sullivan’s Steakhouse recognized by Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Awards for 2024,” said Dividend’s Director of Marketing Brittany Maroney. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication and passion of our teams, who strive to provide our guests with exceptional dining experiences. We are proud of our expertly curated wine programs that enhance the culinary journey at all of our restaurants.”
Several Eddie Merlot’s locations were awarded this year’s Award of Excellence accolade by Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Awards list for several reasons:
- Diverse Selection: Featuring a variety of high-quality wines from renowned regions worldwide, Eddie Merlot’s extensive, custom-curated list ensures an exceptional pairing for every dish while catering to a broad range of palates.
- Wine Cellars: Sommeliers carefully maintain and manage Eddie Merlot’s elegant wine cellars that hold a vast collection of popular and rare bottles in optimal storage conditions to preserve their quality and flavor. Guests can also enjoy exclusive private tastings and special events in these spaces, to add an elevated touch to their dining experience.
- Exclusive Wine Pairing Events: Featuring rare selections, sommelier guidance and expertly crafted food pairings, these events offer an educational and sophisticated atmosphere, allowing guests to explore limited-edition bottles and network with fellow wine enthusiasts.
In addition, Select Sullivan’s Steakhouse restaurants received the same recognition by Wine Spectator given the following features:
- Unique Selection: Offering rare and exclusive wines — including special varietals and vintages — from prestigious vineyards worldwide, Sullivan’s diverse list caters to a wide range of palates with high-end brands such as Caymus, Opus One and Louis Roederer “Cristal,” and personalized recommendations.
- Wine Cellars: Sullivan’s beautiful glassed-in cellars showcase an impressive collection of high-end and rare wines, enhancing the restaurant’s elegant and inviting ambiance.
- Known for Cocktails, but not for long: While Sullivan’s is famous for its innovative cocktails, its award-winning wine list seamlessly integrates into the luxurious dining experience for guests.
