Malloti Reveals Details of Armed Robbery Case That Landed Her on South Africa’s Wanted List

Controversial socialite Malloti has lifted the lid on her past criminal activities and the armed robbery case that led to her being wanted in South Africa.

The issue gained attention after a screenshot from the South African Police Service (SAPS) website revealed a warrant of arrest for one Namatai Bhobho, who was later identified as Malloti. The warrant, issued on January 19, 2018, by the Wynberg Magistrate Court, called for her arrest on charges of armed robbery.

Until now, Malloti had avoided directly addressing the allegations or her criminal past. However, in an hour-long interview on DJ Ollah 7’s YouTube podcast, she openly discussed her involvement in crime during her time in South Africa, including armed robbery and fraud.

A Life of Crime in South Africa

Malloti admitted to being arrested for armed robbery after being implicated by her friends whom she was involved in criminal activities with.

“Inini panyaya iyi ndakatozombosungwa.  Ndasungiswa futi nemuskana uya because ivo vanhu vekuti vanga vachirikurarama life ye cocaine. Matsotsi vanozongobatirwa madrugs. So they’d end up doing mazhet ari unplanned because of pressure ndobva vasungwa then they implicated me. Vandi implicater then I got arrested. When I got arrested, I got a deal to became a state witness then I got bail,” Malloti explained.

She claimed that upon her arrest, she struck a deal with South Africa’s National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) to become a state witness, which allowed her to secure bail.

“I didn’t run from SA from the court,” she said.

Malloti confirmed her involvement in a casino robbery but refused to disclose the amount of money stolen. She mentioned that 16 people were involved in the heist.

“We robbed a casino but I don’t want to talk about that. Yanga wakanda mari ende tanga takwanda,” she told DJ Ollah 7.

Despite being on bail, Malloti said she chose not to return to court to testify as a state witness.

“I didn’t run away. Handina kuzodzokera ku court.  But handina kutiza court because ndakapihwa bail but ndakatiza ma gangstas because I couldn’t become a State witness. Hazviite. Ndofira mahara,” she said.

Escape to Zimbabwe

Malloti revealed that she fled South Africa by crossing the border illegally. She later returned to South Africa in 2022 for three months, again entering the country illegally.

“Ndakauya ne bhazi. dakajamba border. Ndakatombodzokera kuSA ndikatogara three months. 2022,” she added.
