Chris Cuomo has inked an agreement to stay on NewsNation‘s air for a few more years.

The former CNN and ABC News correspondent joined Nexstar’s NewsNation in 2022. On Monday, NewsNation announced it had reached a multiyear agreement with the anchor and reporter to continue hosting his primetime program, “Cuomo,” weeknights at 8 p.m. ET.

Commenting on the deal, Cuomo said, “Of course I am staying. Where else but NewsNation can you expose the game instead of being forced to play? Let’s get after it!”

“Chris is a one-of-a-kind talent whose unrivaled analysis and commentary has helped grow the audience at NewsNation and strengthen our brand,” said Sean Compton, president of Nexstar’s networks division. “He believes strongly in NewsNation’s mission of delivering ‘News for All Americans’ and we are extremely pleased that he will remain a staple of the network’s primetime lineup.”

Cuomo exited CNN in late 2021 following an investigation of sexual harassment claims against his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. In late 2021, New York State Attorney General Letitia James released documents showing Chris Cuomo, while employed at CNN, took an active hand in helping his brother defend himself.

On his NewsNation show, Cuomo covers daily news in politics and the media along with conducting interviews with newsmakers offering analysis and insight. The show’s signature segment is, “Have Your Say with Chris,” during which viewers can call in and pose questions directly to Cuomo.

In October, Cuomo hosted a two-hour primetime special featuring a discussion about the 2024 election with guests including sports personality Stephen A. Smith and entrepreneur Mark Cuban.

Nexstar says NewsNation reaches nearly 67 million U.S. TV households. The network draws on Nexstar Media Group’s 6,000 journalists in 110 newsrooms across the country. NewsNation is available on major cable and satellite providers, streaming platforms including YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV Stream, FuboTV and Sling, on the web, and on the NewsNationNow app available on Android and iOS.
