Slay Queens Arrested After Allegedly Stealing US$4.5K From Mbinga at Mashwede
Two slay queens have been arrested by popular private detective Tafadzwa Chidawa, also known as Detective Kedha, after allegedly robbing a man of thousands of dollars at Mashwede.
According to the victim, the two women stole US$4,500 from his car during a show featuring South African Amapiano producer and DJ Kabza De Small at the well-known venue.

How Two Slay Queens Stole Thousands From Mbinga
The man recounted that he was in the VIP section of Mashwede with award-winning South African musicians DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small when the two women joined him at his table. According to his account, the women approached him in the VIP section, where they shared drinks before moving to the bar area and eventually heading to his car.
He suddenly remembered he needed to speak to someone and went back inside, leaving the two women in his car. When he returned, he found that they had disappeared, leaving behind their shoes and empty handbags. After a quick search, he realized that not only were the women gone, but so was the US$4,500 he had hidden in his dashboard.

Slay Queen Denies the Allegations
In response to the allegations, one of the women, identified only as Makanaka, denied any wrongdoing. She accused the victim of fabricating the story because she had turned him down after he bought her bottles of champagne.
“Kutaura shuwa ini handina kumbovhera ndaba mari, honestly, mukomana uyu arikuda kungoda kundifremerawo nyaya just because akatenga mabottles of champagne ndikamwa, ndikazorambawo kuenda naye, otherwise handina kumboba mari. Handina mari yandakaba,”she said.
Makanaka also expressed confusion about how her shoes ended up in the man’s car. She explained that she briefly left their table, and when she returned, everyone, including her belongings, was gone.
“Handisikuziva kuti bhutsu dzakaenda sei kumota, akanditi siya zvinhu pasofa, nephone yako, bouncer ndobasa rake. Pandakazodzoka ndikaona vanhu hapasisina, ndikati maiwee ndabirwa futi phone, vanhu vaya vaya. Ndikabvunza waiter aimuserver, ndikati ko munhu anga akagara apa aenda kupi, zvikanzi hameno kwaaenda, asi ukamutsvaga kwaMashwede Sunday unomuwana,” Makanaka explained.

Detective Kedha Steps In: Slay Queens Arrested After Mashwede Theft
The case caught the attention of Detective Kedha, who quickly tracked down Makanaka and another woman, Melissa. Sharing the update on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Detective Kedha confirmed the suspects had been located and handed over to Braeside Police Station.
