Apparently, within the first half, both Messi and Alba were taken off the pitch. First, Jordi Alba was subbed off by Tata Martino in the 34th minute. The Spanish left-back was replaced by Noah Allen. As the second half commenced, Robert Taylor joined first-goal scorer Facundo Farias on the scoresheet. Messi’s replacement scored in the 54th minute and was assisted by Alba’s replacement, Allen.

In the 73rd minute, Benjamin Cremaschi added a third goal to Miami’s tally, thanks to an assist from Taylor. Perhaps Messi had passed on his powers to Taylor for the day, as the forward scored a fourth goal for Miami. The Finnish completed a brace with an assist from goalscorer Farias. The final whistle blew, sealing a perfect victory for Miami. Their win has prompted various reactions from the fans.
