Missouri-based record producer Metro Boomin has orchestrated an initiative based on his new album, Heroes & Villains. This was revealed at a Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Atlanta Falcons game. The album also includes the first posthumous feature from the late Migos member Takeoff, who was killed in an altercation in Houston.
As a tribute to his late mother, Leslie Wayne, the “Rap Saved Me” artist’s “Single Moms Are Superheroes” initiative honored single mothers by purchasing 26 game-day tickets for mothers and their kids from around the country.
The initiative, in partnership with the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation, covered travel expenses. The mothers also walked into the Mercedes-Benz Stadium with their children as the national anthem was sung.
Metro Boomin lost his mother early this year. His stepfather murdered her before subsequently killing himself.
Speaking of loving tributes to mothers, Kodak Black took to Instagram earlier this year to share how much he looks out for his family, including purchasing a $3 million mansion for his mom.
