‘The Night Agent’ Season 3 Ups Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ward Horton and Albert Jones to Series Regular

The Night Agent” has upped cast members Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ward Horton and Albert Jones to series regulars for its third season. The news comes just after the Jan. 23 release of Season 2.

Per the official logline, the series follows “low level FBI Agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), whose efforts to save the president (Kari Matchett) in Season 1 earn him an opportunity to become a ‘night agent’ in Season 2. But working in the secretive organization of night action will propel Peter into a world where danger is everywhere and trust is in short supply.”

Evans-Akingbola (“Ten Percent,” “Back in Action”), who plays secret service agent Chelsea Arrington, is repped by Hamilton Hodell and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole. Horton (“The Gilded Age,” “Annabelle”), who plays governor Richard Hagan, is repped by Amplified and Innovative Artists Agency. Jones (“Mindhunter,” “Respect”), who plays FBI deputy director Aiden Mosley, is repped by SirenSong Entertainment, IAG and Peikoff Mahan.

“The Night Agent” was created by Shawn Ryan, who also serves as showrunner and executive produces alongside Marney Hochman on behalf of MiddKid Productions. Other executive producers include Seth Gordon and Julia Gunn via Exhibit A; James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and Nicole Tossou via Project X; David Beaubaire via Sunset Lane Media; Munis Rashid; Paul Bernard; Guy Ferland; and Seth Fisher. Sony Pictures Television is the studio.

The series is one of Netflix‘s biggest, with Season 1 sitting at No. 7 on the streamer’s list of its most popular English-language TV shows of all time, having achieved 98.2 million views in its first 91 days of streaming back in 2023. Season 2 debuted as the most-watched Netflix series of the week with 13.9 million views in its first four days.
