It’s Kirk Cousins Week, but the Vikings Already Won.
When Kirk Cousins comes back to town, the reception should be solid. He was an upstanding member of the community, and while under center for the Minnesota Vikings, Cousins was a consistent presence. He never could elevate himself or the team, but you knew what you were getting from him.
There is no greater evidence of this than the season that Sam Darnold is having. Of course, the Vikings head coach looks like a quarterback whisperer and a savant. To a certain extent, he absolutely is that. O’Connell is an amazing leader and has shown an ability to get the most out of his team. He galvanizes a locker room, and given the talent he has, it’s not exactly a shock that the Vikings have surpassed expectations.
