Falcons vs. Raiders MNF Game Recap

Monday night means Monday Night Football, and this week’s matchup was the Atlanta Falcons vs the Las Vegas Raiders. This is a crucial game for the Falcons if they want to stay in the race for the NFC South. Speaking of the Falcons, they strike first in this game, as Kirk Cousins hits Drake London for a 30-yard touchdown reception to take a 7-0 lead late in the first quarter. The Raiders kick a field goal to start the second quarter to make the score 7-3 with plenty of football left to play in the first half. The Falcons get another score before the end of the second half as, they add a safety to their to total and take a 9-3 lead into halftime.

The Falcons were the only team to score in the third quarter, as they kick a field goal to extend their lead going into the fourth quarter. As the fourth quarter started this game looked all but over, as the Falcons kicked another field goal to take a 15-3 lead against the woeful Raiders. However, miraculously the Raiders had life, Ameer Abdullah catches a 5-yard touchdown pass to make it a 15-9 game with 3 minutes left in the game. The Raiders get a defensive stop on the next drive and really put themselves in position to win the game. Unfortunately, just as it seemed as if the Raiders could pull off the upset, Desmond Ridder gets picked off and the Raiders lose 15-9.
