Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb to miss final 2 games of the season with shoulder injury
CeeDee Lamb has been dealing with a shoulder injury since the Dallas Cowboys took on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9. Lamb should be commended for playing and performing well through this ailment. However, this is the right thing to do for multiple reasons. The first is simple, and it’s the well-being of Lamb. He’s too good of a player, and he’s too important to risk getting injured any further. The second is just as simple, the Cowboys are eliminated from playoff contention. There wouldn’t be any reason to keep putting Lamb on the field at this point.
Despite his injury, and playing without the Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott for half the season, Lamb has once again produced at a high level. His 101 receptions are tied for second in the NFL, and his 1,194 yards ranked third for all receivers. Although he won’t finish out the year, Lamb has more than validated getting the four-year $136 million deal he got before the season.
Protecting Lamb is the main thing here, and the Cowboys are handling it the correct way.
