Cardi B Shuts Down Rumor She Can No Longer Afford Her Atlanta Home With Offset: ‘Hating Bad’
“You bum b—-es wish,” the rapper added.
She was born to flex. So when a rumor sprouted online that Cardi B can no longer afford the home she shares with husband Offset in Atlanta, the “WAP” rapper was quick to shut it down.
“LMAOOO You bum b—-es wish… me and offset bought that house in 2019 for 5 million now it’s worth 7,” she wrote Monday (July 29), retweeting a since-deleted account alleging that she was “facing foreclosure” and struggling to make payments on her Georgia mansion. “Check the Atlanta market. And no, we not selling it… and if I ever sold it I would just sell my part to Offset since he loves Atlanta.”
“Throwing salt on my home?” Cardi added. “Hating bad.”
A few minutes later, the Grammy winner followed up with, “Anyways. LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO it’s a lot of reality checks circling around.”
The next day, she shared a video showing off her immaculate master bedroom, bragging in a sing-song voice, “Good morning from my second home!”
Cardi has been on a roll, calling out what she sees as B.S. on social media lately. For instance, the hip-hop star has come to Kamala Harris’ defense numerous times in the past week, combating political misogyny on X amid the vice president’s 2024 White House bid.
“What does Kamala Harris husband or relationships have to do wit her credentials?” she tweeted July 23 in response to sexist chatter regarding the politician’s husband, Doug Emhoff. “Do y’all hire people based on who they f–king??”
Later, she hopped on Spaces to address the misogyny against Harris — whom she’s strongly endorsed for president this election — in more detail. “I always knew how people are when it comes to women, but the disrespect?” she told followers. “Listen, if you don’t like her as a politician, that’s you. But if you disrespect her because she’s a woman? It’s very disgusting.”
