Jacksonville staple earns spot on the list of the 2023 fastest growing companies
Jacksonville, FL (RestaurantNews.com) Grumpy’s Restaurant, a full-service American & Southern-style diner with a new-school menu and old-school roots, recently earned a spot in the 2023 Class of Fast 50, an annual list of the 50 fastest growing companies by the Jacksonville Business Journal. As a group, the Fast 50 honorees saw their revenue grow by more than $2 billion collectively over the past three years.

For more than 25 years, the Jacksonville Business Journal has identified the fastest growing companies on the First Coast. This list has tracked companies that boomed during the good times, that grew even when the economy shrank, that stand as an example of what ingenuity, hard work and creativity can lead to. The honoree companies were selected after careful review of financial documents, with the businesses required to demonstrate a high level of revenue growth from 2020 to 2022.
With five open locations in Orange Park, Middleburg, St. John’s, Neptune Beach and Wildlight (Yulee) Grumpy’s prides itself on made-to-order and always-made-from-scratch comfort food and sweet southern hospitality all at a working-class price. Grumpy’s serves breakfast, lunch and brunch along with an array of daily and weekly chalkboard specials which include a variety of sandwiches, homemade soups, salads, signature coffee, freshly squeezed juices, homemade hot chocolate and desserts. The brand is currently looking to expand throughout Florida, as well as select markets in Georgia.
