Schnitz Yeah, It's Oktoberfest at Iron Hill

Bavarian-Inspired Menu Specials & Return of Oktoberfest Lager at All 21 Restaurant Locations from September 22 to October 9

Schnitz Yeah, It's Oktoberfest at Iron HillExton, PA  (RestaurantNews.comIron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (Iron Hill), the most award-winning brewery east of the Mississippi, is celebrating Oktoberfest with chef-crafted Bavarian-inspired food specials, a commemorative 20 oz. Oktoberfest stein and the celebrated return of Iron Hill’s popular Oktoberfest Lager. Oktoberfest celebrations will occur at all 21 Iron Hill locations from September 22 to October 9, 2023.

The Bavarian-inspired menu continues Iron Hill’s tradition of breaking down the wall between the kitchen and the brewery with dishes not only made to pair with Iron Hill’s signature beers but also made with beer. Vienna Red Lager-bacon sauerkraut adds a smoky-sweet depth of flavor to the Oktoberfest Egg Rolls and the Schlachteplatte, a hearty grilled butcher’s plate. At the same time, the Oktoberfest Lager-braised red cabbage lends a tangy layer to the Hackbraten, a German-style meatloaf, and the Jaeger Schnitzel. Both the Harvest Salad and the Huhner Schnitzel, crispy chicken medallions, pair well with Iron Hill’s Seasonal Pale Lager. The Taste of Germany includes all three schnitzels, plus buttery smashed Yukon Gold potatoes and a choice of vegetables. Guests can end their Bavarian-inspired meal on a sweet note with Apfel Turnover, a cinnamon-sugar-dusted pastry served with apple cider salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream.

Iron Hill’s Oktoberfest Lager is a smooth and malty interpretation of the classic style. Inspired by the hearty foods and indulgent spirit of Munich’s famous festival, notes of dried fruit, yeasty bread, caramel, and spicy hops. This lager will folk dance across the palate with a 6% ABV for a perfect Prost! Oktoberfest Lager is available on draft or in 4-packs to go. Commemorative 20 oz. mugs are available to fill and take home for $15.

“We’re continuing to crossover lines between our culinary and brewery teams with every new menu. Our beers are brewed to pair deliciously with our food, and our food is made with our award-winning beer. Oktoberfest is a celebration of beer and food, something we are proud to do every day,” said Chris Westcott, CEO of Iron Hill Brewery.
