Messi briefly missed the last match for Inter Miami against Atlanta United due to fatigue. Tata Martino also rested Jordi Alba alongside the 36-year-old, allowing both to recharge their energy levels. After boosting themselves, both returned to today’s game. However, despite taking precautions, both are showing signs of injury.

Apparently, within the first half, both Messi and Alba were taken off the pitch. First, Jordi Alba was subbed off by Tata Martino in the 34th minute. The Spanish left-back was replaced by Noah Allen. Subsequently, just three minutes later, the worst happened, as Messi was also subbed off and was replaced by Robert Taylor.

This is indeed a significant setback for Miami. David Beckham’s soccer franchise is already striving for a playoff spot. However, the early departures of both star players may jeopardize their playoff aspirations. Additionally, Miami is in contention to play in the US Open Cup final against the Houston Dynamo. The absence of either star could have implications for their chances in that competition as well.

Jordi Alba being subbed out early is not a good sign. Alba has played phenomenally for Inter Miami.
